FIT provides a limited number of rooms rooms in the student hostel on the grreen Campus on a first-come, first-served policy. The monthly costs amount to 240,00 EUR per month (incl. flat-rate costs for water, electricity, heating and garbage disposal).
Private accomodation outside the Campus in Hermannsburg is also possible.
The single rooms are modest and only equipped with basic furniture. Toilets and showers are shared among 4 students. The kitchen is shared by several students.
Bed linen is provided by the housekeeping service Students must bring their own towels, toiletries, etc.
There is no Canteen on campus. Each student is responsible for his/her own meals. Students who have rented a room on campus have access to shared kitchens in the residential buildings for the preparation of meals.
In the morning, coffee and tea are available during the lecture break.
In Hermannsburg, there are several restaurants and cafes, as well as several supermarkets that sell groceries at reasonable prices.
